ONCE again the Villa Romana open-air museum in Albir is the setting for the Estiu Festiu (Festive Summer) concerts. “The museum, a few metres from the seafront, satisfies all the requirements for enjoyment while guaranteeing health and safety at a critical time when we cannot let our guard down in halting the pandemic,” said Culture councillor Manuel Casado. Saturday July 24: Big Band in Concert from the Callosa-based band at 10.30pm Saturday July 31: Magic show from Aparecium at 10.30pm Saturday August 7: Story-telling for children bas on gender equality at 7pm Saturday August 14: Sabor de Tangos dance spectacle from Alicante’s Hispano-Argentina association at 10.30pm Sunday August 22: España Brava’s flamenco show, Pinceladas, at 10pm Saturday August 28: Concert by Alfaz’s Sociedad Musical La Lira at 10pm. Evening recitals are also scheduled for Albir lighthouse (Friday August 6 at 9pm), the Villa Romana Musuem (Friday August 13 at 10.30pm) and the Albir Social Centre (Friday August 217 at 10.30pm.
