THE Teulada-Moraira’s latest competition meeting started off with a muggy overcast day and a 16C temperature.
As the morning wore on the weather changed and they eventually had a bright sunny day with temperatures rising to 23C but with no flow on the river as they fished Section A3 of the Jucar in the neighbouring province of Valencia.
There were 10 contestants, with Steve Hartwell reeling in a best total weight of 9.4 kilos.  Second best total weight went to the club secretary Jeff Richards with 8.7 kilos.
There were no dry nets and overall it was not a bad day’s fishing with 52 fish caught and a total weight of 38 kilos.
Next match is scheduled for next Wednesday, June 23.
