Last Friday’s ‘El Millón’ Winning Lottery Ticket Was Sold In Benalmádena

Every Friday in Spain there is a regular draw that takes place, called ‘El Millón’, which is held by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, and means that as a result, basically, each Friday there is the possibility of a new millionaire being made somewhere in the country.
As reported by Europa Press, the winning ticket last Friday 4 is known to have been sold in office number 50,080, which is located in the town of Benalmádena, in Malaga province, on the Costa del Sol, so the chances are that a resident of that town is now a millionaire, if they checked their ticket!
The ‘El Millón’ draw is a separate part of the larger EuroMillions lottery draw that takes place every Tuesday and Friday, with last Friday’s winning numbers being 40, 20, 36, 46, and 7, and the stars are 2, and 4.
In case you are not familiar with the lottery in Spain, there is also a second category of winning ticket, where you need the five winning numbers, plus one star, and the winning ticket last Friday is known to have been sold in Mislata, in the province of Valencia, with the winner receiving €22,567.43 as a result of purchasing that ticket.
There is a guaranteed fund of €17 million being put into play for the next EuroMillions draw, for the person who has the first category of five numbers, plus the two stars, and the amount collected in ticket sales is reported to have been a massive total of €97,141,937.20, as reported by sevilla.abc.es.
