Gone Girl Actress Lisa Banes In Hospital With ‘Traumatic Brain Injury’ following a hit-and-run accident in New York

Actress Lisa Banes, the 65-year-old star of countless films and television shows, has been admitted to the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, in New York, where she is reported to be in a ‘critical condition’, and fighting for her life, after she was involved in a hit and run with an electric scooter, which has resulted in a ‘traumatic’ brain injury.

The accident allegedly occurred on Friday evening (June 4), in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and an NYPD spokesman told People, “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing”, while Kathryn Kranhold, Lisa’s wife, told The New York Post, “Lisa is in critical condition and we’ll know more in the next few days”, according to the Mirror.

Lisa is probably best known for the 2014 David Fincher thriller, Gone Girl, starring with Ben Affleck, in which she played the role of Marybeth Elliott, the mother of Rosamund Pike‘s character, Amy, as well as appearing in blockbusters, Cocktail, with Tom Cruise, and Young Guns, both in 1988.

The Gone Girl actress also had roles in Star Trek, Deep Space Nine, Nashville, Six Feet Under, Murder She Wrote, and Frasier.
