MARBELLA Police Arrest Three Wanted Fugitives During the month of May, From the United Kingdom, Serbia, and France

Marbella National Police force officers have reportedly arrested three wanted fugitives in different operations in the city during the month of May, two of whom had search, arrest, and surrender warrants in their names, one issued in the United Kingdom, the other, in Serbia.
The third criminal was arrested after he tried to flee from a control, and was charged with the crimes of possessing false documentation, dangerous driving, and assaulting a police officer.
All three arrests were the result of police measures brought in during the coronavirus pandemic, involving areas in and around the leisure port of Puerto Banus, in the Marbella municipality, according to marbella24horas.es.
The first man arrested was of French origin, who was stopped at a police control and, when found to have false documentation, tried to escape, but was pursued by police officers and intercepted, after which he was detained and his true identity ascertained at the police station, which revealed that the detainee was wanted by French authorities for his involvement in drug trafficking crimes.
A second arrest was that of a 29-year-old British man, wanted for his involvement with drug crimes committed between 2016 and 2017 in the UK, found to have an arrest warrant out against him by British law enforcement authorities, since May 2019.
Finally, a 29-year-old Serbian national was arrested on May 19, for his alleged involvement in human trafficking, charged with facilitating the illegal border crossing in 2016 of 28 people of Afghan and Pakistani nationality into European countries in exchange for a sum of money, who after his arrest was found to be residing illegally in Marbella, having been previously banned from entering any Schengen territory.
All three detained men were made available to the Central Investigating Courts of the National High Court.
