Supermarket Giant Carrefour Issues Product Recall On Own Brand Product.

Supermarket chain Carrefour has removed a batch of organic piquillo peppers from its shelves and issued a full product recall, according to a report from the Spanish consumer rights group, Facua.

The recall affects a product from Carrefours own BIO brand and it has asked customers who have bought this product to return it to the store to obtain a full refund.

The company says that the particular product is affected by the presence of a ‘foreign body’ and the specific batch is L9289Z, which has a best before date of December 16, 2027, and was sold in 165-gram glass bottles throughout it’s stores in Spain.

“As a precautionary measure, those consumers who may have the aforementioned product in their homes are recommended to refrain from consuming it,” explains a message from the Carrefour website, that in addition, says that those customers who take the product back to the store will be able to obtain a full refund.
