Dates confirmed for four-day Bank Holiday weekend.

DATES confirmed for four-day Bank Holiday weekend next year for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

In a series of tweets, the Queen’s official Twitter account revealed the dates of the 2022 extended Bank Holiday: “From Thursday, June 2 through Sunday, June 5, 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.

“The weekend will bring communities across the UK together to commemorate this momentous occasion. #PlatinumJubilee #HM70.”

“The extended Bank Holiday weekend will feature public events and community activities, as well as national reflections on The Queen’s 70 years of service,” another tweet stated.

And a third underscored the significance of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee as the first British monarch to reign for 70 years.

The tweet said as follows: “The Queen is the first British monarch to mark a Platinum Jubilee, having ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952, at the age of 25.

“Her Majesty’s Silver, Golden, and Diamond Jubilees have been commemorated.”

While several events will take place over the four-day Bank Holiday weekend, Buckingham Palace announced in a newly published feature on its official website Royal.uk that the Platinum Jubilee will be marked with year-long celebrations across the United Kingdom, Commonwealth state members, and the world.

The extended Bank Holiday weekend will begin on June 2 with an unique Trooping the Colour procession, which will feature around 1,400 marching soldiers, 200 horses, 400 musicians, and, of course, members of the Royal Family.
