QATAR AIRWAYS once again includes the city of Malaga in its route network as of next July 2, since Spain begins to ease restrictions for travellers restoring the network of destinations from the country to levels prior to the pandemic. The flight schedule as of July until September will be on Fridays and Sundays, departing at 8:00 am from Doha and arriving in Malaga at 2:40 pm, local time and from Malaga with a departure time at 3:55 p.m. and arrival in Doha at 11:55 p.m. local time.
As reported by La Opinion de Malaga, The CEO of the Qatar Airways Group, Akbar Al Baker, has indicated in a statement that “as the world begins its reopening, we at Qatar Airways are ready to take the lead in supporting the global economic and social recovery, proven by our support for tourism in Spain. Spain has always been a strategically important country for our airline, as reflected in our close collaboration with Iberia and the constant reconstruction of our route network in Spain”.
Malaga became the third Spanish destination in the Qatar Airways network in June 2018 and will operate its flights using an Airbus A350-900, with a capacity for 36 people in business class and 247 in economy class. Al Baker also highlighted that Malaga offers a wide variety of activities for its visitors, such as exploring the historic Roman fortress, sunbathing on its Mediterranean beaches or visiting some of its many museums. Many travellers also combine a trip to Malaga with a visit to other places of interest in southern Spain, such as Marbella and Puerto Banús.
