SEVILLA Fashion Outlet Shopping Complex Near San Pablo Airport To Get A €17.5m Expansion.

Sevilla Fashion Outlet is the premium outlet shopping destination in Sevilla, located five minutes from the San Pablo Airport, with direct access from the A-4 motorway, having a parking capacity for 1,500 vehicles, and boasts the first private electric car charging station in the city, with 12 power outlets for eco-efficient vehicles.

VIA Outlets, the owner and manager of the shopping complex, will make an investment of €17.5m (£15.04m) in a new commitment to the Sevillian asset, which will allow the entry of 17 new major fashion brands and will create 150 new jobs, on top of the 550 people that Sevilla Fashion Outlet already currently employs.

With this expansion, Sevilla Fashion Outlet aims to strengthen its position in southern Spain “and hopes to contribute to the positioning of the city as a cosmopolitan tourist and shopping destination, with a sustainable approach,” said David Kervyn de Lettenhove, Business Director of VIA Outlets for Spain.

The new transformation of the centre includes, among other new features, the creation of a multipurpose experiential space, designed to host meetings, events, and cultural events “one more resource in the growing MICE offer of the city,” adds Kervyn.

The renovated Sevilla Fashion Outlet is also set to become one of the most eco-efficient shopping nodes in Europe, after obtaining the Excellent rating in the BREEAM™ certification in its New Construction category. BREEAM™ Certification is the most rigorous and demanding independent global standard for sustainable building.

With the amount provided for this new expansion phase VIA Outlets will have allocated a total figure of €30m in the consolidation of its project in the city of Sevilla, a destination in which the company began operating in 2016.

The expansion project has been designed by the architecture and engineering team of L35 Architects and Project Management of GPO Ingeniería y Arquitectura, S.L.U and is set to turn the complex into one of the most eco-efficient shopping hubs in Europe.

Sevilla Fashion Outlet is the main showcase for premium fashion and lifestyle in Andalucia, with more than one hundred top fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, the Spanish brands Bimba y Lola and Tous, the leading Sevillian firms, such as Scalpers, and the most powerful mix of sports brands in Spain (Adidas, Puma, and Asics, among others).

The shopping complex has been accredited with the Safer Shopping seal issued by the leading global inspection and verification consultancy Bureau Veritas. This pioneering quality standard for shopping destinations verifies that the prevention, safety, and health protocols that the company has implemented since the advent of Covid-19 are setting a new standard for the entire industry.
