LA LIGA STADIUM may allow football fans back in stadiums before the end of the season.

Supporters are currently banned from stadiums as per the current regional and national Covid-19 restrictions surrounding public gatherings across Spain, however, La Liga may allow fans to return to stadiums for the final four match weeks of the 2020/21 season.

According to reports from El Larguero tonight, the league have provisions in place to bring supporters back beginning the second weekend in May.

The report says that this will include a 25 per cent capacity in each ground with no away fans permitted, and a number of Covid-19 rules in place. The rules include no standing or singing and it will be compulsory to wear a mask at all times.

It is reported that the Spanish Government and the Sports Ministry have approved the plans with a further agreement from the Health Ministry required for the plan to actually go ahead.

If the plans are rejected by health authorities at this stage, an alternative plan is in place to push the deadline back to the last two weeks of the league season.
