PILAR DE LA HORADA’S mayor and the Employment councillor presented symbolic cheques representing last year’s municipal aid to new businesses.
Both Jose Maria Perez Sanchez and Susi Sanchez Martinez wanted to meet the owners of the start-ups and thank them for choosing Pilar de la Horadada for their businesses.
“Although 2020 was an especially difficult year, the town hall has provided financial help of between €1,000 and €2,500 for these 25 new businesses,” Perez Sanchez explained.
The aid was made available through the Employment and Local Development Agency via a €50,000 allocation from the town hall’s Budget.
Talking to the new entrepreneurs, the mayor told them about his own personal experiences to encourage them to continue in their efforts.
The town hall would be behind them, and every Pilar de la Horada business, Perez Sanchez pledged.
He also reminded all those hoping to open a local business that they can make an application for aid from this year’s allocation until December 31.
