EL EJIDO is promoting its cultural heritage on digital displays in Madrid’s Plaza Callao and the Gran Via. A total of 1,176 spots in two of the most-visited pedestrian areas in Madrid will show clips of the Roman remains at El Ejido’s Ciavieja archaeological site. There will also be images of the spectacular modern entrance to the Yacimiento de Ciavieja installation where Almeria University has been carrying out work for the past year, revealed El Ejido mayor, Francisco Gongora. “This will enable many more people to learn about the extraordinary work that is being carried out to protect, recover and promote this site,” Gongora said. “It has produced important finds that we are making every effort to make known and also visitable.”
