MARBELLA Council has announced the summer programme for the Marbella Arena.


The council announced the Marbella Arena summer programme.
According to Marbella council, the programme was announced by the directors of GNP Producciones, Julio Erostarbe, and Teatro Goya, Luis Miguel Martin, as well as Director of Culture, Carmen Diaz.
Ms Diaz said: “It is great news for the city to have a multidisciplinary space such as Marbella Arena, which promotes an ambitious and quality project that strengthens the cultural and leisure events.”
She added: “We want to thank its commitment to our municipality at a particularly difficult time and its intention that the activities take place throughout the year to overcome seasonality.”
Erostarbe said: “It is a satisfaction to have the collaboration of the City Council to launch an initiative with which we want to support Marbella as a benchmark in the cultural field.”
He added that the programme will start on July 9 with a performance by Dani Rovira and Tomas Garcia, and the next appointments will take place on July 10 and 11 with the Chirigota del Selu on August 1, with the show of Commander Lara; on August 6 and 7.
He said: “We have opted for comedy because we believe that in these times it is more necessary than ever, without forgetting music and theatre, and for purely national productions to support a sector hard hit by the pandemic.”
He added: “Ee are working for the auditorium of Marbella Arena to host all kinds of events, both cultural and sports, gastronomic or corporate, because it is necessary to offer non-seasonal activities.”
