THE Rincon de la Victoria health centre is taking a step forward after the council have announced it is in talks with the Health Delegate.

The council said it was talking to the Health Delegate about a health centre in Rincon de la Victoria.
According to Spanish newspaper Malaga Hoy, the mayor of Rincon de la Victoria, Francisco Salado, has resumed negotiations with the delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucia in Malaga, Patricia Navarro, to create a new health centre.
Locals have been demanding a new health centre for more than 50 years, claiming the two centres are not enough for the population.
The council said two plots have been made available to the regional administration for them to study the site, including one in Huerta Julian and another in Lo Cea in in Torre de Benagalbon.
Mayor Salado said: “We are working with the Junta de Andalucía to build a new health center because the current one is saturated. Of the two options offered, they are more inclined towards that of Huerta Julian.”
He added: “The proposal is to keep the current one on Avenida del Mediterráneo with the services and queries it already has; and complete it with specialized services that the municipality lacks in the other.”
