VACCINATION CIRCUIT: Designed for vehicles, not people Photo credit: Vera town hall
VERA residents who have received notifications to visit El Palmeral for anti-Covid vaccinations were asked not to go on foot. The El Palmeral fair ground has been chosen as one of the mass vaccination locations for the Levante area and the local government has now called on members of the public to go by car. Vera town hall has set up a circuit in El Palmeral with awnings, chairs and tables so that the health professionals may carry out their work of vaccinating Levante residents in the best possible conditions. The town hall has explained on its social media pages that the accumulation of people who did not attend in vehicles were holding up the smooth-running of the process and “generating difficulties.” According to municipal sources quoted in the provincial press, not only were there were insufficient chairs for members of public to sit on as they waited but these had to be disinfected each time they were used.
