SUEZ SHIP makes it into Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The giant container ship, MV Ever Given which became stuck in the Suez Canal appeared in newspapers and on the Internet across the world. The ship which blocked the Suez Canal for days has cost a staggering amount of money to the world’s economy.

Many did not think that it would take long for the cargo ship to appear in videogames and it now appears that Microsoft’s flight simulator is the first game in which it is made an appearance.

Mat Veloso, Technical Advisor to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took to social media and re-shared a TikTok video via GeekWire. The TikTok video showed a pilot’s eye view of the stuck cargo ship, as featured in the flight simulator.

The pilot delivers a funny commentary as it is noticed that Suez Canal has become blocked by the giant ship. The pilot explains that, “If you look on your left, we will see the Suez Canal. This is where most of our world trade and cargo ships come through. (…) Oh geez. It appears they have a big problem”

The blockage caused hundreds of vessels to be stranded in the canal when the giant container ship, MV Ever Given, became wedged diagonally across the Suez Canal which is a lifeline for world trade.
