THE La Cala de Mijas diabetic support group currently plans to hold regular coffee mornings at Bar Tuta in La Cala at 11 am every first and third Monday of the month.
Due the the pandemic they ask that those planning on attending check the local rules on the day regarding travel and note that this get together is not referred to as a meeting as they simply gather for coffee.
The group also hopes to have a random testing station outside the town hall in La Cala de Mijas every month on the third Wednesday morning from 11 am to 2 pm weather permitting.
Diabetes is still a dangerous disease and the get togethers are held for the benefit of those who want to know how to control it and this is partly done by individuals sharing their experiences.
