NURSE gets a surprise marriage proposal during paramedic boyfriend’s COVID vaccination.

Paramedic Robby Vargas-Cortes, aged 31 from South Dakota and boyfriend Eric Vander-Lee, aged 26, have been together for five years. Robby had been planning to surprise Eric and put his plan in motion for during his COVID-19 vaccine, when he literally had a surprise up his sleeve.

Eric started volunteering at the Sanford Canton-Inwood Medical Centre in South Dakota last month, and has been administering vaccines. Robby had only let one friend in on the surprise plan, as he needed a little help to film the proposal.

Robby managed to ensure that it was Eric that was going to give him the vaccine, and as he rolled is sleeve up ready for the jab, Eric got his surprise. On Robby’s arm, exactly where the injection should go, was taped an engagement ring.

Robby said, “I planned in for a week in advance, I thought it’d be a really memorable thing for us.

“I wanted it to mark us turning over a new leaf after a bad year.

“There were only two nurses doing the vaccinations so I made sure to jump in Eric’s line. I asked one of my co-workers to film it, but they were the only other person who knew.”

Happily, Eric said yes to Robby’s proposal, and the pair plan to marry next year.
