AN El Vendrell man found was collapsed in the water of the Riuet hot springs in Coma-ruga in Tarragona.
Residents in El Vendrell found the man collapsed in the water, and immobile so called emergency services. Local police were able to pull the man, aged 86, from the water and called for medical assistance.
The 86-year-old resident of the area was stabilised at the at the scene and then moved to the El Vendrell hospital.
The hot spring is said to have medicinal qualities and keeps a year round temperature of between 18 and 20 degrees centigrade.
