A DOCTOR groped a paramedic during a suspected ‘drug overdose’ as she attempted to treat the him.

Lauri Kriisa, aged 40, a consultant anaesthetist had no memory of having taken any drugs during his date, but conceded to the tribunal that he must have. The Doctor had been on a date and was due back at work later for a night shift.

Paramedics attended the scene at 3 pm at Kriisa’s date’s home and on attempting to treat him Kriisa started to become sexual towards the paramedic. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service heard in a statement from the North East Ambulance Service Paramedic that, “His behaviour became sexual, he was grabbing me and pulling me into the bed.

“He was licking up my neck and trying to kiss me. He grabbed in between my legs and pulled me towards him.”. CCTV footage from the ambulance also showed the Doctor trying to grab the paramedic.

The tribunal have allowed the Doctor with a previously clean history to keep his job after weighing the seriousness of the incident with his current role treating patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
