Manchester Teens Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

MANCHESTER teens have been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a fifteen-year-old boy.

Police were called to Alexandra Park on Claremont road on Saturday night at around 10.30 pm. Reports had been received that a boy had been stabbed.

The scene was attended by North West Ambulance Service who sent both an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle. The boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but at this time they are thought to be non-life threatening.

Police searched the Alexandra Park area with a helicopter, armed offices and police dogs, while door to door enquiries followed up later on Smalldale Avenue, next to the park.

Arrests have been made of three teenagers, all fifteen years old. It is believed that the stabbing was targeted and the boys were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Any information can be reported to Crimestoppers or directly to the police on 0161 856 4409.
