Two drivers arrested for going the wrong way

GUARDIA CIVIL arrested two drivers who were going in the wrong direction on the motorway between Sevilla and Portugal.

The first was stopped on the A-49 after driving more than 20 kilometres in the wrong direction and was three times over the legal alcohol limit. He was travelling in a 4×4 vehicle and the 112 emergency services had received three calls about the situation. The vehicle was located on cameras and Guardia Civil caught up with him and using their lights and sirens, ordered him to stop.

The next day another man was arrested for the same reason on the same motorway near Ayamonte, Huelva. He was also three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Both drivers are charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
