Local Police in Rincon de la Victoria has issued almost 200 fines for breach of Covid measures in four weeks. BETWEEN November 12 and December 9, 193 flouters were sanctioned. Thirty-five of those “unjustified displacements” occurred over the holiday weekend, from December 4 to 8, when police presence was doubled. The extra patrols will continue until midnight on Saturday, December 12 Councilor for the Local Police, Borja Ortiz, said: “From the outset we have taken each and every one of the measures we have applied very seriously, and it is not in vain that we are achieving a reduction in cases. “Soon we hope to reach the low level of contagion in our municipality,” adding that while the police are essential to maintain control, the responsibility ultimately lies with the public.
