Grateful obituary goes viral

AN obituary with a message of thanks, written for a man in Navarra, has gone viral, after being shared on Twitter by Roberto Camara, the director of Navarra Television.

The obituary, seen at a morgue in Izarra, Navarra, has gone viral and been retweeted more than 850 times and has thousands of likes.

In the obituary, the family of the deceased has written: “Our thanks to the Navarra Government, especiall the Arga Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre, for the loving way they treated him” and it goes on to thank “Navarra taxpayers, who with their taxes made his life easier and more dignified”.

Roberto Camara added when sharing the obituary that he was doing so “in case anyone forgets why we pay taxes”.

The message moved many Twitter users and there have been many responses to it.
