Christmas Treats for Homeless Dogs After Boy Raises £1000

THE Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home will see plenty of Christmas treats for the homeless dogs this year after local boy raises £1000.

Harley, aged 7 from Stockport set out to raise £50 for the homeless dogs, but has far exceeded his target. He has a so far raised over £1000 and has a massive collection of goodies that have been donated for the dogs at the Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home.

Mrs Rose, Harley’s mum said, “His aim was just to collect a few items, some toys and treats for them for Christmas, and any bedding that anyone didn’t need anymore.

“We thought he’d get a couple of boxes together and we thought we’d set up a Gofundme account and ask for £20 and then we can buy some toys as well, thinking it would just be grandma and grandad.

“He asked if he could increase the target and I said ‘yeah dream big’, until he said £50 and I thought it would be a bit ambitious.”

Harley has raised more money and donations than he thought possible as members of the public have left treats for the dogs at his house, and the local businesses have joined in too.
