HEAD-ON collision after driver flees from police causes multiple injuries in Madrid.
The incident occurred on Sunday on the M-40 at kilometre 19. A vehicle driven by a 67-year-old man was stopped by the municipal police in Villaverde shortly before 4pm. The driver then fled from the police onto the M-40 before colliding head-on with another car.
Madrid’s Samur-Civil Protection treated both parties for injuries before they were transferred to separate hospitals. The 67-year-old fleeing driver suffered from a clavicle fracture. While the other driver, aged 21, unfortunately suffered a clavicle fracture and trauma to the pelvis, he was taken to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
