Customers caught drinking and smoking after curfew

Local Police closed the cocktail bar

MALAGA Local Police cleared a cocktail bar of 14 customers who were caught drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking hookahs after the 6pm curfew.

Two members of staff were also removed from the premises and the person in charge of the establishment was charged with breaching regulations regarding current closing hours and allowing the shared use of hookah pipes.

The events took place at around 7pm, when the police requested entry to the premises, the doors of which were closed, and requested ID from everyone inside. Minutes later, they were charged with non-compliance of anti-coronavirus measures applicable in Andalucia, such as no more than six people at a table, not wearing masks, sharing the hookah pipes, which had apparently been prepared in the toilets, and opening after the 6pm curfew, the Local Police reported. The video of the action taken by the police can be seen here.

After Malaga Local Police cleared the cocktail bar of the 14 customers and staff, the bar was closed and a report was filed with the competent authorities.
