Multiple Raids on Drugs Gang Results in Cocaine and Cash Seizures

THE multiple raids on a drugs gang in Co Louth resulted in cocaine, cash, and car seizures.

The gang based in Co Louth was raided by the Criminal Assets Bureau (Cab) with the help of the armed Emergency Response Unit, the Garda Dog Unit, and the Louth Division gardaí. Five searches were performed on Tuesday 24, four in residential properties and the remaining search on a business.

According to the Irish Times “Gardaí seized cocaine valued at about €35,000 along with a Ford Kuga, a Nissan X-Trail and €16,600 in cash. Cab said the search operation was a significant juncture in its ongoing joint operation with gardaí based in the Louth division into the specific gang.”

The gang has been under investigation for some time and so far over €60,000 in cash has been seized. The search of the business was conducted in the hope of finding property sale documents and other financial documents.
