Shock as Child Beaten for Breaking Mobile Phone Cover

BOLIVIA is in shock as child is allegedly beaten for breaking the case of a mobile phone.

A BOY, aged 2 has been severely beaten in Warnes, Eastern Santa Cruz, Boliva. The family had been renting a room in a house for a few months where the incident occurred. The mother of the young boy had left for work when the house owner’s niece took the boy from the care of his sister.

The boy appears to have been beaten with a cable or a stick by the owner’s niece, after the owner of the house had the cover of a mobile phone damaged. The owner’s niece is said to have been verbally abusing the child and his sister too.

Ángel Morales, the Santa Cruz director of the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC) said that the boy “apparently had been attacked with a cable or a more blunt object”. So far two arrests have been made, the owner and the owner’s niece.

Social media has been awash with images of the boy’s injuries and calls for justice.
