Cycling to boost Tourism with 30,000 Euro Investment

CYCLING is set to boost tourism in the Murcia region, with a 30,000 euro investment in the Murcia section of the “EuroVelo 8 Mediterranean Route”.

The money will be used to both develop and promote the cycling route that passes through Lorca and Aguilas, hoping to bring a boost to tourism for the region.

According La Actualidad, “the ‘EuroVelo 8 Mediterranean Route’ cycling route enters the Region of Murcia through San Juan de Los Terreros (Almería) and leaves towards Orihuela (Alicante), with a length of about 220 kilometers that runs through the municipalities of Águilas, Lorca, Mazarrón , Cartagena, La Unión, Los Alcázares, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Murcia.”

The “EuroVelo 8 Mediterranean Route” will connect Andalucia, Murcia and other regions.
