PORTUGAL records 79 COVID deaths and has 432 patients in ICU, according to data published on Wednesday, November 18, which also sees 5,891 new cases registered.

The figures published for the last 24-hours, as it pertains to new positive cases, mean that the total since March is now 236,015 people, of which 78,641 still remain active with the virus.

Sadly, 79 patients have died in the last 24 hours, which means that fatalities linked to the coronavirus in Portugal are now 3,632.


The number of hospitalisations has reached 3,051, which is 23 more than yesterday, as 432 patients are currently in ICU.

The most affected area of ​​the country is the northern region, which has accumulated 54 percent of the positives cases registered, while Lisbon and the Tagus Valley registered 28 percent of those infected in the last day.
