TWENTY-SIX members of the U3A Marina Baixa, recently visited Valencia, leaving Albir at 9am,.
Twenty of the group headed for the Bonaire shopping centre, the remainder visiting the city.
Prior to departure, all had their temperatures checked and they were socially distanced on the coach, wearing masks throughout the journey.
At the shopping centre, every shop supplied hand sanitiser and had a one-way system, while the larger stores had limited entry.
Although it was a cool, cloudy day it was great to be “on the road” again, members agreed, after the long spring and summer break due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
The U3A Marina Baixa hold their next General Meeting at the Casa del Cultura in Alfaz del Pi on Monday, November 23, and the Annual General Meeting – also at the Casa de Cultura – is due to take place on Monday, January 25.  Both are subject to any changes to the rules and regulations relating to Covid-19.
Readers who would like to join the association are assured of a warm welcome and should visit www.u3amarinabaixa.com or their Facebook page for more information about the group.   Those without internet access may contact the secretary, Joan Flint on 966 808 591 or 663 637 167.
