Madrid president in ‘preventative quarantine’

President of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, is in ‘preventative quarantine’ at home

The Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, is unable to attend the celebration mass for the La Almundena festival on Monday, November 9 as she has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, government sources have revealed. Ayuso is currently quarantining at home as a preventative measure.

The capital will celebrate on Monday a mass in honour of the patron saint of Madris, the Virgin de la Almudena. Although she has tested negative for coronavirus herself, Ayuso will not attend the festivities. Sources have indicated that the regional president is waiting to know the result of the rest of the tests “and thus continue with her normal agenda”.
