Frustration as Coca-Cola Christmas Tour is Cancelled

THE COCA-COLA Christmas Tour is cancelled this year, to the frustration of many fans. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place Coca-Cola have confirmed the cancellation of the iconic Christmas Truck Tour.

An iconic part of Christmas for many, the tour that would normally visit around 40 different towns in the UK, will not take place this year. Although Christmas is not cancelled, as The Sun reports that the “’Holidays are Coming’ advert will be shown in the coming weeks, although the exact date hasn’t been announced.”

Fans from the UK took to Twitter to air their frustration over the cancellation of the Christmas Tour. One fan quipped ”Holiday’s aren’t coming” and another Tweeted that “Sums up 2020”. Coca-Cola will still bring the festive spirit to the UK and on Twitter they said, “We know this year hasn’t been easy… but we’ve got a bunch of festive treats yet to come!”.

The Christmas Tour has been running for 10 years now and will hopefully make a return next year. This will be a strange Christmas for all, with many Christmas traditions having to change due to the pandemic, but technology will help, not only with the Coca-Cola Christmas advert still being shown but with various companies this year having virtual Santa’s Grotto and other festive activities.
