DENIA’S indoor sports installation, partly destroyed by the September 2019 storms, has reopened.
The €200,000 that it cost to carry out the repairs was more than the original estimate as the roof, the outer west-facing wall, interior flooring and the outside basketball court all had to be renewed.
Initially the centre was expected to be ready by early 2020 but problems with the insurance company and the Covid-19 pandemic combined to delay work.
