ARMED Trump supporters have forced an election centre in Arizona to close due to fears of riots and unrest.
Joe Biden is currently ahead in the state and it was called by Fox News early on election night. However, the Democratic candidate’s lead is shrinking.
At the time when the centre was closed to both the public and the press, Joe Biden was ahead in the state by roughly 70,000 votes. The counting is continuing but the press were escorted from the building.
A tweet from the Maricopa County elections department said: “Staff at the @maricopacounty Elections Department will continue our job, which is to administer elections in the second-largest voting jurisdiction in the county. We will release results again tonight as planned. We thank the (sheriff’s office) for doing their job, so we can do ours.”

A desperate Trump campaign has been filing lawsuits in several states as his chances of maintaining the presidency become slim.
Trump is currently ahead in Georgia, which has 16 electoral votes, but his lead is becoming perilous as votes are counted from the metropolitan areas which are heavily Democratic.
With the Democratic challenger’s lead increasing, Trump was ranting on Twitter with the social media site even labelling his posts as ‘possibly disputed and misleading’.
If you’re just waking up there’s a strong chance that the situation is still roughly the same as when you went to sleep last night (sorry!).
More votes have been counted of course but the races in the existing states are all still so tight there are no further projections.
In both Georgia and Pennsylvania, Donald Trump is ahead but with every few thousand votes counted his lead is getting smaller and smaller.
The only outstanding result I’d bet my house on (if I had one) would be Alaska, which will be heading for the Trump column.
