Wetherspoons Sells Pints of Real Ale for 99p Before Thursday’s Lockdown

Wetherspoons Sells Pints of Real Ale for 99p Before Thursday’s Lockdown to Clear Stocks.

Boris Johnson announced a second lockdown which will begin at 12.01 am on Thursday 5 November, which is still subject to Parliamentary approval. This means all pubs, bars and restaurants will have to shut, leading to the Wetherspoons sell-off.

From this afternoon, since Sunday, drinkers have been enjoying the cheaper priced pints under the four-day sale which will last until 10 pm on Wednesday night. It is understood that signs been put up in Wetherspoons across the country saying they’d be cutting prices to get rid of stock. The posters read: “Ahead of the four-week lockdown, rather than waste real ale, it has been reduced to 99p per pint.”
