Bodybuilder who tried to cheat theory test jailed

A bodybuilder who tried to cheat the UK theory test system has been jailed

Amir Lorzadeh, 38, tried to cheat the theory test on several occasions, first by using a Bluetooth devise to translate the UK test and later by using a lookalike to take the test for him.

Lorzadeh, who moved to the UK from Iran in 2016, was jailed at Gloucester Crown Court on Thursday, October 29 for 11 months.

On December 13, 2017, Lorzadeh was seen on CCTV inserting a hidden Bluetooth speaker into the headphones, and an invigilator interrupted the test and asked for the headphones to be removed.

The court was told that a similar scenario occurred at the test centre in Sutton Coldfield on November 7, 2018.

The court then heard that a further theory test was booked for November 25 last year at Redditch, and this time he got someone resembling him to attend the test.

At sentencing, Judge Jason Taylor QC said: “I don’t believe you are remorseful as you committed this offending on more than one occasion.”
