Spain’s Andalucian Health Authority has reported 5,622 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Andalucia has recorded 5,622 new cases of coronavirus over the last 24 hours. All the cases have been confirmed by PCR or rapid antigen tests (Active Infection Diagnostic Tests, PDIA). This has set a new record for the pandemic in the region. The data, published by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA), also contained details of 54 deaths due to COVID-19.
One of the worst affected regions, Seville, added 32 deaths and 1,500 more new positives this Saturday, Granada added another 2,000 new cases. In the last seven days, 613 more people have been admitted to Andalusian hospitals, the amount of people in hospital in the region now is getting closer to the peak of March. It is the third consecutive day of more than 5,000 infected with coronavirus, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Families.
