A former bird keeper in the UK has been jailed for 32 months after stealing penguins from a British zoo and selling them on Facebook.

On Friday, October 30, Bradley Tomes, 25, a former bird keeper was sentenced for the theft of Humboldt penguins named, Pablo and Penny from Lakes Safari zoo during his time working there as an aviarist.

It was discovered that Tomes broke into the zoo more than once to steal a range of rare and exotic animals including egrets, penguins and macaws.
