UK Weather: Hurricane Zeta set to Batter Britain with Heavy Rain and 60mph Gales

Hurricane Zeta has been forecast to batter Britain with up to 100mm of heavy rain and 60mph gales over the next few days.

The remnants of Atlantic storm Hurricane Zeta are rumbling towards Britain. The Met Office has issued a series of weather warnings with up to 100mm of rain possible and powerful gales.

The Met Office has sent a warning to everyone to get their ‘coats and boots on’ as the wet and windy weather approaches this weekend and have issued a series of yellow warnings for rain straight through to Sunday.

The Hurricane Zeta weather warning lasts to just before midnight on Friday and says there could be damage to homes and businesses, travel cancellations and power cuts.
