Teenager raped 11-year-old girl

A 16-year-old teenager stripped and raped an 11-year-old girl

Marek Slepcik, 16 at the time of the offence, raped an 11-year-old girl in 2016 before fleeing the country. Slepcik’s mother helped him obtain an emergency passport and he fled to Slovakia, where he remained until July 27 when a European Arrest Warrant extradited him back to the UK.

The now 20-year-old appeared in court via video link from prison.

The court heard that the 11-year-old child snuck out of home and was drinking vodka with her friends, before going to an empty house with Slepcik and another 17-year-old boy. The child and Slepcik were left alone; he stripped her naked, raped her and left her crying and in pain in the house.

The girl told teachers what had happened the following day, and an examination showed Slepcik’s semen on the swab.

Judge Andrew Menary, QC, said: “At the age of 16, you knew full well what you were doing, knew it was plainly wrong and that she was significantly younger than you and underage, and you took advantage of her and her state of drunkenness.”

Judge Menary sentenced Slepcik to four years and 10 months in a young offenders institution and said he must sign on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
