Paris Police Carry Out Spot Checks for COVID Flouters

Paris police carried out spot checks on the streets looking for COVID Flouters on Friday.

Paris police checked that shoppers were not flouting new COVID lockdown laws on friday after tough restrictions came in at midnight, sparking an exodus from the city. Paris streets were virtually empty as police checked those who had ventured out for the correct paperwork necessary to bypass the new restrictions.

All of France’s 67 million people have been ordered to stay at home at all times with no visitors, or risk a fine. New measures require people to have documents that show a reasonable excuse for leaving home. Thousands of Parisians caused massive traffic jams as they tried to flee the French capital on Thursday night
