MICHAEL Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, releases her debut single
Paris Jackson is officially getting into the family business as the 22-year-old daughter of legend Michael Jackson released her first solo single, “Let Down” on Friday, October 30 ahead of her upcoming debut album “Wilted”, out November 13.
“Let Down” was written by Jackson, and produced by Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull. The slightly macabre music video was directed by Meredith Alloway and executive produced by Eli Roth.
Paris said she wrote the song in her bedroom with only her guitar, and describes her style as ‘alternative folk’.
Jackson admitted that she felt “so many emotions” ahead of the song’s release.
“I’m excited, I’m nervous, mostly grateful and happy,” Jackson said in a statement. “The freedom to create, not being told what to sing and how to sing it, what to write; it’s awesome. It’s a gift, it’s a blessing.”
