Celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations

A NEW book was launched simultaneously in Madrid and Seoul to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties between South Korea and Spain covering the past, present and future of bilateral relations, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

Korea is now Spain’s third-largest market in Asia, with bilateral trade having reached €5.3 billion in 2019 and was also the third-biggest source of Asian tourists for Spain with more than 630,000 visiting the country.

Whilst the Spanish Government looks to increase exports, the Koreans in turn see Spain as a natural stepping stone to expand their trade across South America.
