The UK plans to reform the immigration laws

The UK plans to reform the immigration laws after Brexit.

Home secretary, Priti Patel has published harsh new proposals to stop criminal migrants and homeless migrants from entering the UK from Europe.

EU migrants will no longer get preferential treatment from January 1 and will deport migrants sleeping on UK streets

The government will still rely on access to the European criminal database on which the UK has still to make a deal.

The new laws will allow the UK to remove and EU homeless people if they commit petty crimes and for aggressive begging.

Patel said “For too long, EU rules have forced us to allow dangerous foreign criminals, who abuse our values and threaten our way of life, onto our streets”

“The UK will be safer thanks to firmer and fairer border controls where foreign criminals regardless of nationality will be subject to the same criminality rules”
