Wolverhampton stalker jailed for spying on victim with her own CCTV.

A stalker from Wolverhampton spied on his victim in her home by hacking into her own CCTV security system.

The stalker, George Coughlan, was sentenced to 21-months in jail for the intrusion and has also received a five-year restraining order against him.

The stalking, which started in December 2019, was accompanied by a barrage of abuse via social media after Coughlan set up numerous fake accounts to contact his victim.

In one of the messages he said, “I will make it my dying breath to mek ur life end too.”

After hacking into her CCTV system, Coughlan, 33, downloaded a video library of 67 videos. He even sent the victim a video of herself relaxing in her living room.

Coughlan was finally arrested on Saturday, February 29, and on Friday, October 23, he was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court where he was sentenced to 21-months in jail.
