Trump casts early ballot in Florida

TRUMP casts early ballot in Florida in US presidential election.

Donald Trump has cast an early ballot in the presidential election as he geared for another gruelling day of campaigning ahead of the vote on 3 November.

Trump changed his official address from New York to the Sunshine State last year and took advantage of Florida’s early-voting law to mark his ballot in person on Saturday, October 24, at the Main Library in West Palm Beach.

“I voted for a guy named Trump,” he told reporters with a smile as he emerged.

“But it’s an honor to be voting,” he said. “It was very secure, vote much more secure than when you send in a ballot, I can tell you.”

Melania was noticeable in her absence, and it is unknown when she will vote. Rumours have been flying since the last presidential debate, where Melanie was seen snatching her hand away from Trump.

Polls show Democrat Joe Biden with a slim 1.5% lead in Florida. The president has hit the campaign trail there with a vengeance, with four Florida rallies in the last two weeks.

Nearly 55 million Americans have cast early votes as the coronavirus has made in-person voting problematic.
