Britains Got Talent pay rise win

Britains Got Talent pay rise win for Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon after Simon Cowell steps in.

Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon have won their pay dispute with Britain’s Got Talent after Simon Cowell threw his weight in support of them receiving equal pay to David Walliams.

An internal review will now take place to review the wage structure for the judges of the show.

Alesha Dixon, 42, was particularly irked by the issue as she receives £400,000 for the series compared to Walliam’s whopping £1.5m, wile stand-in head judge, Amanda Holden, receive £700,000.

A source close to Dixon said, “Alesha was rightly upset when she read the pay discrepancies in black and white. The story also ruffled feathers behind the scenes. Simon realised this apparent sexism wasn’t a good look. He’s demanded something be done, and the matter is being reviewed.”

“Although Simon isn’t responsible for pay deals, he obviously has great sway and he has asked that the matter be investigated internally so that this sort of situation doesn’t arise again.”

Payment fee schedules are negotiated between the ITV production company and the judges agents.
