MORE than 46,000 people visited Benidorm’s beaches during the October 9-12 long weekend.
“These figures demonstrate the impact on the town, with hotel occupancy  reaching 70 percent according to the Hosbec hoteliers’ association,” Benidorm mayor Toni Perez announced.
Tourist apartments, campsites and second residences also saw an influx of visitors, the mayor added.
“Although these figures are far from pre-pandemic levels, they confirm that Benidorm is a leading holiday destination even in adverse conditions,” he said.
